Every year, hundreds of tourists are fascinated by the particular location of our wharf. Located in the heart of downtown, it is very important for coastal fishing in South-East New Brunswick. There are about 100 boats and approximately 300 fishermen.
On warm summer nights, people come to take in the fresh breeze. During lobster season, you can take the opportunity to come and see our fishermen at work and sample this wonderful shellfish.
This is also where most of the Scallop Festival activities take place. Come and discover a very important aspect of Richibucto’s culture. We promise that you will be amazed by what you discover!
The Richibucto Marina, with its 60 berths, is located within the public wharf compound in downtown Richibucto. The marina is easily accessible from the Northumberland Strait through the deep and wide Richibucto River. There are a number of berths available for visiting boaters. Water and electrical hook-ups are available at all berths. The marina has washrooms with shower facilities. Ice is also available. Restaurants, fish market, pharmacy, bank/ATM, Library and Post Office are within 100 meters from the marina. Laundromat, Grocery, and Liquor Store are located within 1 km.
From our marina, you have access to the beautiful dunes along the Northumberland Strait, with its beaches as far as your eyes can see. You can navigate the Richibucto River inland and discover the natural beauty the river has to offer. In season, you can watch the fishing boats land their lobster catches or capture your own glimpse of whales, seals and a variety of seabirds.
