The municipalities of Rexton, Richibucto and Saint-Louis-de-Kent are proud to present our third Banner Festival. The Festival is an effort to decorate our communities in a pleasant and interesting way. We believe that our banners will make your stay in our region more pleasant. The themes selected for 2010 are ‘’flowers and birds’’. More than 100 banners will be exposed this year. It allows us to include the presence of art in our everyday life and to demonstrate our commitment towards ours local artists.

A press conference will be held on June 11th, 2009 at the Richibucto Interpretation Center launching officially the Banner Festival of New Brunswick. The banners created will be exposed from June 15th to September 15th in our communities. The visitors and residents will be asked to select their preferred banner for each one of the three categories; under 14, high school student and adult.

The banners of 2009 will be offered for sale at the Richibucto Town Hall and at the Richibucto Interpretation Center for $30.00 and over.

``Our Festival crossed the Atlantic: the very young Banners Festival of New Brunswick had wished to create a partnership with Chantilly. We thus accommodate twenty Canadian banners and will send the same number of it which will be exposed from June to September in Acadie.``
